do I have to buy a dell brand battery for my dell inspiron b130 and should it be dead after less than 2 years?

I looked on dell.com and it had only 1 battery available for my laptop and it costs 200 bucks! I’ve seen laptop batteries in computer stores for nearer to 100 dollars. I wonder if any 3rd party brands would work in mine. anyone know?
also, how long did your laptop batteries last before they went dead?

battery life varies but it is usually 2 years. And you do not have to buy a Dell Brand battery. You would want to look if the battery are the same or exceeds your current batteries specifications though.
