Monitor making noise?
I am using medion 17 inch flat sceen monitor. It takes 19V 2.5A adapter but i am using my laptop 19V 3.4A adapter and wondering if it is making monitor nosiy? Its very low noise.
Can i use 19V 3.4A adapter instead of 19V 2.5A?
The current rating on an adapter is the maximum that it can supply. So if the monitor needs 38 watts it will draw 2 amps from either adapter.
However, there may be ripple and regulation requirements that the monitor needs that your laptop does not.
Without examining the signals from the adapters and without hearing the noise it is difficult to say if this is a problem or not.
When in doubt it is best to use the adapter that was designed to go with the equipment.
