Will apple find out if my apple ipod nano fourth generation (da new one) had water damage?
i called appe and said that the backlight on my new ipod nano suddenly went out.
it actually went out casue it was in the washing machine…lol
everyhing works on it and bascaily jsut hte backlight wont work
apple said they will send a box fr me to put te ipod in and send it to the company to either fix or replace.
will they find out?

its only been 2 months since i purchased it so obvisouly the warrenty applies cause appe said they will fix it but id idnt say it was caue of water damage lol
Depends on the amount of water and where it got into. They have very tiny white/gray stickers inside the case. These stickers are also used in cell phones, usually under the battery. They turn a bright fluorescent color (usually pink) if they come in contact with even a drop of water. I have heard of times where the device has been ruined by water yet the stickers never came in contact with liquid so they will replace it.
