My laptop battery is 10.8v, I can only find a replacement battery that is 14.4v, will it still work?
Every site or eBay listing I have looked at for a battery for my model laptop says the battery is 14.4v, but my laptop’s battery is 10.8v, will it ruin my computer?
yes it will ruin. computer mobo engages at two terminals at 2 volt and at -2 volt. laptops do not have the same regulator as desktops. your voltage is way over range. keep surfing for answers on the correct battery.
