Please help me, eeepc 1000H won’t turn on! (did they send me the wrong power adapter.?
I bougt a display eeepc from ebay. They sent me a 9.5V power adapter (9.5V, 2.315A) — but this is not what I see on many sites where they have it listed as 12V, 3A??The one they sent me, is also looking different (it looks like a mobile phone charger, wheareas the ones I see look like normal laptop, with the power brick in between the two cables) Please, can you tell me what is the official spec. of the power adapter for eeepc1000H? I don’t want to return tha laptop, if that’s the reason why it won’t turn on. Could the lower voltage, be the reason it doesn’t turn on? (no lights, no hdd movement, nothing)
You are correct the official spec is 12V 3A. The one you got was indeed a mistake because it is for the earlier 700 models, see the difference between the two on the linked page. It is not supplying enough juice for your model. Take it up with the seller to swap for the correct adapter. Or downrate their shizzle and source one elsewhere. They are not expensive things.
