Rugged Notebook

Have you had any experience with Systemax computers, either desktop or notebook?
The price for them seems pretty good, but are they reliable and do they last? I was thinking of one of their rugged notebooks to use in my shop where it might be exposed to moisture and such. It cost about $1,000 to $1,500 less than a Panasonic C29, but the Panasonic has proven itself as a rugged machine. The Systemax Assault notebook claims to be rugged. Is the Systemax any good or will it shuck out on me in a few months?
Most of the Systemax computers that have gone thru my shop appear to be solid computers. I would rate them better than the average emachine and almost as good as a HP or Compaq.
